Matt Morgan/TNA Update

Matt Morgan and TNA have agreed to a 5 year contract. AJ Styles is also in talks with the company, and it seems like he will be signing soon as well.

TNA/Von Erich and Colt Cabana, Bret Hart/WWE News

TNA has signed 23 year old Lacey Von Erich. The daughter of the late Kerry Von Erich will debut as the new member of The Beautiful People. She will be debuting in the upcomming weeks of Impact.

Former TNA and WWE superstar Colt Cabana (Scotty Goldman) had a tryout match recently as a dark match before an Impact taping. Cabana wrestled Puma in the dark match and it appears that both wrestlers are looking to get back into TNA. No word has been given on how management felt about the match.

In WWE news, Bret “The Hitman” Hart has stated that he is no longer against the idea of returning to the company. This would be his first appearance in the WWF/E since the Montreal Screwjob in 1997. The Montreal Screwjob finish at Breaking Point could have been a way to introduce Hart back into the company.

Former Ring of Honor and independent circuit star Bryan Danielson has greed to a contract with the WWE. He will fulfill his obligations through September for ROH and move to the WWE.

Maryse will undergo surgery to repair a dislocated knee cap. She injured the knee cap last winter, but was able to avoid surgery until now.

Chris Masters made his return to RAW this Monday night in the beat the clock challenge against MVP. The two battled to a double count out, but a rivalry might have just started.

The main event at SummerSlam will be John Cena vs Randy Orton for the thousandth time.

ROH

Nigel McGuinness was injured Friday night during a match with Jerry Lynn. He was recieving a Cradle Piledriver, but slipped out of the hold. There is no heat on Lynn for the miscue.

TNA

AJ Styles suffered a staph infection in his leg earlier this week. Jeremy Borash said on his Twitter page that Styles was ok minus the hole in his leg. He isn’t expected to miss any ring time.

Former WWE star Elijah Burke has signed with TNA.

WrestlingInc has a very interesting article up by Tim Brown on how some of the creative team members will be affected with Jeff Jarrett’s absence. One interesting addition to the article is former TNA and current ECW champion Christian.

TNA Impact’s 200th episode is tonight on Spike TV. My preview will be up later today.

In the latest TNA web match, Lethal Consequences takes on The Motor City Machine Guns. This was another good match for both teams.

Petey Williams Update

In an update from PWinsider, Petey Williams will join Ring of Honor in the fall as a roster member. It still remains to be seen if TNA will try to aquire the former captain of Team Canada.

Bashir/TNA

Despite some rumors that Sheik Abdul Bashir (Shawn Daivari) was going to resign with the WWE, “The Middle Eastern Nightmare” signed a multi-year deal with TNA. I still have no details on the signing, but I will post an update when it is available.
