Former Ring of Honor champion Nigel McGuinness has agreed in principle to a deal with the WWE. No specific details are available at this point, but it seems that he may go to the main roster like Brian Danielson.
This is another big blow to ROH and I begin to wonder if they will be able to stay afloat with all of their stars seemingly looking to move on to either TNA or WWE. I think this will be the first couple in a long line of stars leaving ROH for other companies.
Former Ring of Honor and independent circuit star Bryan Danielson has greed to a contract with the WWE. He will fulfill his obligations through September for ROH and move to the WWE.
Maryse will undergo surgery to repair a dislocated knee cap. She injured the knee cap last winter, but was able to avoid surgery until now.
Chris Masters made his return to RAW this Monday night in the beat the clock challenge against MVP. The two battled to a double count out, but a rivalry might have just started.
Nigel McGuinness was injured Friday night during a match with Jerry Lynn. He was recieving a Cradle Piledriver, but slipped out of the hold. There is no heat on Lynn for the miscue.
AJ Styles suffered a staph infection in his leg earlier this week. Jeremy Borash said on his Twitter page that Styles was ok minus the hole in his leg. He isn’t expected to miss any ring time.
The Playstation Network has an online store where consumers can buy episodes of their favorite TV shows. TNA has all of the episodes of Impact from 2009 and all of the pay-per-view events thus far. In addition to TNA, Ring of Honor has put all eight of their episodes on HD Net in the store as well.
Apparently, Kennedy had injured his wrist after an RKO in the main event. It was reported that he and Randy Orton had words backstage, although it wasn’t heated. This release could be because of he has been injury prone or the fact that Orton has a lot of pull with Vince McMahon. The release was finalized earlier today.
Ken Kennedy is a great wrestler who likes to take risks and is very good at getting publicity. I hope that he gets picked up by TNA or ROH because he might bring some more viewers and provide some interesting storyline possiblities. I hope this isn’t the last we see of MR. KENNEDY…KENNEDY.
Nigel McGuiness will make his Ring of Honor return on June 26th against Claudio Castagnoli when ROH goes to Detroit, Michigan. This will be his first match sine Wrestlemania weekend when he suffered an arm injury.
There is a rumor that he could return to TNA to be Amazing Red‘s partner after former WWE star Paul London no showed a taping. Due to his commitments in Japan, he would not be taking the job. As we know, Suicide has taken London’s spot. Another rumored name was Sonjay Dutt.
This tells me that the company may be looking at both releases (Dutt and Williams) as mistakes, and I think that in the coming months, at least one of them would be back.
