Maryse will undergo surgery to repair a dislocated knee cap. She injured the knee cap last winter, but was able to avoid surgery until now.

Chris Masters made his return to RAW this Monday night in the beat the clock challenge against MVP. The two battled to a double count out, but a rivalry might have just started.

The main event at SummerSlam will be John Cena vs Randy Orton for the thousandth time.

ROH

Nigel McGuinness was injured Friday night during a match with Jerry Lynn. He was recieving a Cradle Piledriver, but slipped out of the hold. There is no heat on Lynn for the miscue.

TNA

AJ Styles suffered a staph infection in his leg earlier this week. Jeremy Borash said on his Twitter page that Styles was ok minus the hole in his leg. He isn’t expected to miss any ring time.

Former WWE star Elijah Burke has signed with TNA.

WrestlingInc has a very interesting article up by Tim Brown on how some of the creative team members will be affected with Jeff Jarrett’s absence. One interesting addition to the article is former TNA and current ECW champion Christian.

TNA Impact’s 200th episode is tonight on Spike TV. My preview will be up later today.

In the latest TNA web match, Lethal Consequences takes on The Motor City Machine Guns. This was another good match for both teams.

My WWE draft thoughts.

I have a lot to say about the WWE draft, so let’s get down to business.

MVP to Raw: MVP is a great wrestler who is finally starting to get recognized

Big Show to Raw: I understand they want to move the love triangle with Edge and Vickie, but this is giong to get stale very quickly.

Melina to Smackdown: I feel nothing about this move.

Matt Hardy to Raw: Matt Hardy will not survive as a heel on Raw. His mic skills leave a lot to be desired, but he can wrestle. I am torn on this one.

Triple H to Raw: Obvious move here with Randy Orton being on Raw. I think everyone saw this coming.

CM Punk to Smackdown: This move leads me to believe that he will have the title on Smackdown. Seems to me like Edge will win the last man standing match only to see Punk take it from him….again.

My Reactions:

Ok, I got a lot to say about this draft thus far. First of all, judging by Show moving to Raw, who doesn’t see Edge moving with him? I happen to like Smackdown’s picks as opposed to everyone else. The only bad thing about Smackdown now is that MVP won’t be there.

Also, The Miz and Morrison break up was a great move. I love the idea of the wrestlers moving into singles competition. My issue is that they brought up the wrong wrestler. Morrison is an incredible wrestler that deserves the spotlight and he didn’t get it. This is yet another time where the WWE shine the lime light on someone who probably doesn’t deserve it.
