Here is the match card for The Bash tonight on pay per view:

Unified Tag Team Title Match: Primo and Carlito Colon (c) vs Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes

John Cena vs The Miz

The Great Khali vs Dolph Ziggler

Intercontinental Title vs Mask Match: Chris Jericho (c) vs Rey Mysterio

My Predictions:

I am calling the upset: The Miz defeats John Cena

Rey Mysterio defeats Chris Jericho. If the WWE pulls Rey’s mask off in a storyline, I will be upset and will loose a lot of respect for the WWE.

Michelle McCool defeats Melina

Tommy Dreamer retains the ECW Title by pinning Mark Henry

Randy Orton defeats Triple H by winning the first fall and the last fall.

CM Punk defeats Jeff Hardy

The night starts out with Nicole Sherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls singing “America the Beautiful.”

Money in the Bank Ladder Match: CM Punk vs Mark Henry vs MVP vs Finlay w/ Hornswoggle vs Shelton Benjamin vs Kofi Kingston vs Christian vs Kane

For the record, I don’t think anyone is nearly as loved as Kofi. The fans love him. The two biggest men are the first to grab the briefcase but the other 6 contestants clear Kane and Henry. Both come into the ring and clear everyone off the ladders. Kane starts to climb but Mark Henry knocks Kane off the ladder. Finlay knocks Henry out but then hits a suicide dive. After everyone hits a splash or dives, everyone on the floor. Hornswoggle hits a frog splash on everyone which may be the best spot of the match. Finlay is in the ring with a ladder, but Kofi uses the ladder as a weapon. Finlay returns the favor. Finlay is in control and looks to set up the ladder again. Kofi hits an ensiguri kick to take Finlay off. Henry takes him Kofi off of the ladder. Kofi ran up the ladder and was fingertips away from the briefcase, but no dice. MVP takes Henry out but in comes Benjamin. MVP caught Benjamin with a powerbomb and starts up the ladder. Punk races up after him. Christian hits an Unprettier from the ladder on Punk as he took out MVP. Benjamin was going for a sunset powerbomb but blew it. Benjamin threw MVP into a group of wrestlers. Finlay is on the ladder with Benjamin. Benjamin gets the better of the exchange as Christian tries to take him out. Christian starts up and Benjamin catches him. Christian holds his balance and swings the ladder back. Christian gets caught by Kane and is hit with a chokeslam. Punk and Kane are up top. Punk knocks Kane off and CM Punk grabs the briefcase for the second year in a row. A good match, but a few blown spots and a pretty upsetting ending. 2 out of 5 stars.

Kid Rock performance was ok. For him to sing Bawitdaba at a WWE event where the company is trying to go PG, is extremely ironic. I remember when he was fun to watch in the mid 90s.

25 Diva Battle Royal

This might be the quickest Battle Royal ever. Santino Marella is Miss Wrestlemania. I love it. This is so awesome period. Beth Phoenix is less then happy, but this is absolutely hilarious. Not a good match but good comedy. 1 out of 5 stars.

Chris Jericho vs “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka w/ Ric Flair

This is a big match in my eyes because it features the past and present of the industry. Mickey Rourke will be at ringside so he will be involved in the match in some capacity. Watching the legends come out gave me goosebumps.

Roddy Piper will start off for the legends. Piper is in control as he takes Jericho to the outside. Piper gets a sunset flip for a two count and keeps up the offense. Hot Rod is taking Jericho to school right now. Snuka is tagged in and the Dragon comes in and hits a couple arm drags. Steamboat looks absolutely incredible. Snuka is back in and hits Jericho with a headbutt. Snuka is put in the Walls of Jericho and he taps out.

Jericho knocks Steamboat out of the ring. Piper puts Jericho in a sleeper hold. Jericho hits an enguri and pins piper. Steamboat starts chopping Jericho. Steamboat gets to a vertical base. Steamboat sends Jericho over the ring. He follows that up with a springboard cross body block. Steamboat is in control and rolls Jericho up for a two count. Jericho hits the bull dog and is going to try the lionsault but Steamboat moves out of the way. After another close two count, Jericho rolls Steamboat up for another two count. Jericho hits the code breaker gets the three count. Flair get into the ring and starts to take Jericho out. After a huge back drop, Jericho hits a code breaker. Jericho locks eyes with Mickey Rourke and calls him out to the ring. Rourke heads to the ring and he looks ready to go. Rourke and Jericho square off and Rourke hits a couple jabs. Rourke was an amateur boxer. Rourke hits Jericho with a left hook and he hit the canvas. This was a great match. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Extreme Rules Match: Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy

I would have rather seen the Hardy’s vs Edge and Christian in a TLC match. Oh well, maybe next year.

Jeff slaps Matt and goes right after him from the opening bell. Jeff hit Matt with a Wrestlemania poster. Jeff then sends his head into steel steps. Jeff is in control as he grabs a chair. Matt moves as Jeff went for a calf kick. Jeff goes for the whisper in the wind and Matt counters with a chair shot. Jeff is on the middle rope and Matt hits him with a vacum. The shot was good enough for a two count. Matt hits the side effect on a chair for another two count. Matt is in firm control as he uses the ring post to stretch Jeff’s back. Matt goes for a table and is looking for a suplex. Jeff runs along the apron and hits a clothesline on Matt. Jeff grabs a Kendo stick and a crutch as well as a garbage can. Matt has the can put on his head and hit with a crutch. Jeff misses a Swanton Bomb and Matt hits the Twist of Fate. Jeff kicks out and Matt is goes to the top rope. Jeff hits the superplex and then hits Matt with a chair. Jeff sets Matt up on the table and places the chair on him. Jeff grabs another table and sets it up over Matt. Jeff goes for a splash and hits Matt. That was incredible, just incredible.

Jeff puts Matt in the ring and Jeff gets a two count. Jeff pulls out two ladders and heads back to the ring. Jeff sets up one ladder right next to each other. Jeff goes up for the smaller ladder and goes for a huge leg drop. Matt moves out of the way and picks up Jeff. Matt Hardy hits the Twist of Fate with Jeff’s head in the chair to earn the pinfall victory. This was another great match and it could be the best of the night. 4 out of 5 stars.

Intercontinental Championship Match: John Bradshaw Layfield (c) vs Rey Mysterio

I really hope this match doesn’t kill the momentum of the past two matches. JBL comes out and talks through his entire entrance. Do the words longest 3 minutes of my life mean anything to this guy?

Mysterio has an interesting get up tonight. It looks like the Joker Halloween costume. He may be paying tribute to Heath Ledger. I must admit it is extremely goofy looking either way.

JBL hits Mysterio and Mysterio answers. Mysterio hits the 619 and a splash. Mysterio wins the title from JBL in literally 21 seconds. That was a great way to not lose momentum for the show. Not too bad of a match, but i would have loved to see a little more than 21 seconds. 2 out of 5 stars.

After the match, JBL says he quits. This might be it for John Bradshaw Layfield. He looks like he is done as a wrestler and is visibly upset. This means he will probably join Jim Ross as a commentator on Smackdown!

The Undertaker vs “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels

This should be the match of the night. I was most excited for this match when saw it on the card. Will Taker’s streak go to 17-0?

Shawn Michaels is being lowered to the stage with epic sounding music playing. Once he hits the stage, his music kicks on. The Undertaker comes out from underneath the stage and is staring at Michaels. Taker’s entrance gives me chills every time I see it.

Taker swings and misses a few times, and Michaels hits chops and forearms. Michaels is in control early, but Taker ends that momentum with a few right hands in the corner. Taker eats a couple of chops and counters with a back drop. Taker hits a press slam and follows it up with an elbow. A few shoulder blocks and Taker wants to go Old School on Michaels and hits it. Michaels starts working on the Undertakers knees. Michaels locks in the figure four. The Deadman lands a few right hands and breaks the hold. Michaels hits a basement drop kick but Taker caught Michaels and drove him into the turnbuckle. Taker hits Snake Eyes, a big boot and a leg drop for a two count. Undertaker is calling for the chokeslam. Michaels counters and into a crossface. The Undertaker lifts Michaels and breaks the hold with a sidewalk slam. Taker eats a few shots from HBK. Michaels gets up and hits a reverse atomic drop on Taker. Michaels goes up to the top rope as Taker stands up. The Show Stopper gets caught in Hell’s Gate but breaks it up using the ropes.

The Undertaker throws Michaels onto the apron and kicks him in the head. Taker goes for the apron leg drop and misses. HBK hits a baseball slide as Taker got to the ring. Shawn Michaels goes to the top rope and misses a moonsault. The Deadman rolled back into the ring and Taker sits up in the ring. The Undertaker went over the top rope and hit a camera man. Shawn Michaels is stirring and Taker is still down. Taker came close to breaking his neck. Michaels is telling the ref to count Taker out. The cameraman has not gotten up either. Taker is in the ring just before he was counted out. Michaels is livid as he tunes up the band. HBK goes for Sweet Chin Music. Taker hits a chokeslam and Michaels kicks out after two. Michaels hits Sweet Chin Music. HBK crawls over for the pin and it only got him a two count. Michaels is up again and Taker grabs his throat. Taker hits the Last Ride for another two count. The Undertaker goes up to the top rope and misses an elbow drop. HBK and Taker both get up. Taker hits the Tombstone Piledriver and Shawn Michaels kicked out at two. Taker is beside himself. Taker picks up Michaels and Michaels counters into a tornado DDT. Michaels gets up to the top rope. HBK hits the elbow drop from the top rope. Michaels is tuning up the band one more time. HBK hits it and goes for the pin. The Undertaker kicks out after two to keep the streak alive.

Taker and Michaels trade shots and Taker gets the best of it. Michaels is up first from the exchange. Taker catches HBK and is hit with the Tombstone Piledriver. The Undertaker goes 17-0 after pinning Shawn Michaels. This is the greatest match I have ever seen. PERIOD. 5 out of 5 stars.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Edge (c) vs Big Show vs John Cena

John Cena brought out an entire army much like Eminem did at the MTV Music Awards.

Cena goes after both Show and Edge early. Big Show is in control and working on Cena as Edge is outside the ring. Show lifts a Cena high into the air and slams him down. Cena is on the top rope and hits a fameasser on Show. Edge picks up Cena and throws him in the ring. Edge hits a DDT and only gets a two count. Edge goes to the top rope and Cena knocks him down. Big sidewalk slam by Show on John Cena gets him a two count. Chavo gets the FU and he is down. Show is tangled in the ropes. Edge is hit with the five knuckle shuffle. Edge speared Vickie and Cena rolls him up in a small package for a two count. Show is loose and hits a few shoulder blocks on each of the two. Show hits a chokeslam on Edge and Cena is caught with that right hand. Edge counters a chokeslam into a DDT as he tries to get up. Edge slides the steps over. He hits a splash on the Big Show breaking a barrier.

Edge is staggering towards Cena. Cena is then thrown into the ring and Edge only gets a two count. Edge is camping out in the corner and waiting for Cena to get up. Cena locks Edge into the STFU. Show grabs Cena and headbutts him. Big Show goes to the second rope for a splash, but the Rated R Superstar rolls out of the way. Cena and Edge hit a double suplex on the Big Show. They both clothesline show and Edge kicked Cena for a two count. Cena hits the Blockbuster and heads up to the top rope. Show pushes him into a spear by Edge. Edge goes for the cover but the count is broken up by Show. Edge has Big Show in a sleeper hold. Cena hits the FU on the Big Show and Edge. John Cena pins Show for the win. A good match, not great but good. 3 out of 5 stars.

WWE Hall of Fame Inductees of 2009 make an appearance. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin saying goodbye to all of the fans is something that I won’t forget and honestly it brought a tear to my eye.

WWE Title Match: Triple H (c) vs Randy Orton

Triple H’s entrance was a little odd. Also, since Orton took Punk’s title last year, I can’t help but to think CM Punk will get his revenge. Remember the stipulations: if HHH is counted out or DQ’d, he loses his title.

The Game takes Orton and just keeps striking him. HHH hits an RKO out of no where. Orton is looking to punt HHH. The game hits the pedigree after he moves out of the way of Randy Orton’s kick. Triple H throws Orton onto the announce table. Orton is in the ring and he is met by a ton of right hands. Orton is looking for some way to gain some time. Randy Orton begs him to wait. HHH ignores him and starts kneeing the back of his head and neck. Triple H hits a neck breaker and Orton rolls out to the ring. Orton counters a whip and throws The Game into the steel steps and then over the baricade. The ref starts to count HHH out. Triple H gets into the ring at 6 and Randy Orton is in control.

Orton uses a combination of kicks and right hands to take The Game to the ground. Triple H hits a back suplex , but as he charges at Orton, Orton hits a snap slam for a two count. Orton keeps HHH on the ground with an odd inversion off a chin lock. The Game gets back up to his feet and trades shots with Orton. Triple H raises the knee and follows it up with a face buster. Triple H gets a two count after a huge clothesline. Both men are on the top rope. Orton hits HHH’s head on the top turnbuckle. Randy Orton uses a great package for a two count, a feat that Triple H repeated. After a spinebuster, The Game goes for another pedigree but Orton hits a backbreaker. Orton hits a dropkick when HHH went to the top rope. Orton is going to go for the punt. Triple H grabbed his leg, brought him to the ropes, and sent him over. He brings Orton onto the announce table and he is sent over Orton’s head to the other table which didn’t break. Orton hits a DDT on the floor. The referee administers the second count of the match.

Triple H gets in right before 10 again. Orton is trying to stomp a hole into a lifeless Game. Randy Orton lands right hands in the corner and then moves to kicks. Randy Orton hit and RKO on Triple H. Orton goes under the ring and finds a sledgehammer to use while the ref is done. Triple H has the sledgehammer in hand and hits Orton with it. HHH just swings at Orton landing right hand after right hand. The Game hits the pedigree and pins Randy Orton for the three count. This was another good match. A very energetic match with a fitting end. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Overall Rating: 3 out of 5 stars. The Money in the Bank and Diva Battle Royal made this come up short. If these two matches were better executed this could have easily been a 3.7 show.

Best Match: The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels

Worst Match: Diva Battle Royal

How I fared: 3 out of 9. Another bad outing for me, but I will bounce back.

By the way, in a dark match, Primo and Carlito defeated the Miz and Morrison. This might be the first title match announced for a WWE ppv that turned into a dark match. One word for that idea: RIDICULOUS.

Money in the Bank Poll

With Wrestlemania right around the corner, one of the matches I am looking forward to is the Money in the Bank Ladder match. It promises to be a good one.

I happen to think that Christian will bring down the brief case. He has a ton of experience with ladders, but even though Vince isn’t too big on him, I feel like you could write him in everywhere. His mic skills are good and would be the one I would want to see most.

Christian ECW Title Shot

Christian will finally get his shot at a major WWE title on ECW next week against Jack Swagger.

The issue is that he won’t win due to some kind of either interference or DQ, which would designate a rematch at Wrestlemania.  I think this is the only true course of action. The only other thing even remotely possible is Finlay interfering and have a three way dance at Wrestlemania. Either way, ECW should be interesting next week.
